Handsome as Sin formed in the fall of 2011, when Max Waller (vocals/guitar), looking to get back to his bluesy/country roots after the dissolution of his previous band, enlisted longtime friend Chuck Riviera (lead guitar) to be a part of a new group he was putting together. Initially conceived as an 'outlaw country' band, the two quickly learned that their styles led to a more straight up rock 'n' roll sound, with a bluesy, southern edge. Within a couple months an EP's worth of songs had been written, and the duo headed into the studio to record their debut album, 'Tell Me How You Died.' Playing their first show in February of 2012 at the Viper Room, Handsome as Sin quickly gained a reputation among fans as a live act not to be missed, with a live show that has won over everyone from bar patrons to venue owners. Keep an eye out for them performing around Los Angeles, and on tour around the country beginning this April.
Earning the reputation of burlesque indie rock comes easy with songs about vintage cinematic love, secret speakeasies, and clever seduction. Add in a contemporary twist with an amazing live energy and you have Pullman Standard. Straight out of the SoCal music scene and ready for the world.
Pullman Standard is a four-piece rock group created by singer/songwriter Timothy Daniels in the summer of 2007. Daniels' ambition was to push forward with a new creative outlook on his own musical abilities, which broke ground for the burlesque infused rock sound and performance that the band performs today. The band features Timothy Daniels (vocals), Austin Smith (bass), Steve “Gilli” Gilliland (guitar), and Eddie Alberto Core Jr. (drums).
Although they are based out of Southern California, they have been spending more time out on the road since the release of their first full-length album Steam Powered Hearts in July 2012. They have logged over 200 shows in the past two years, independently booking tours and crisscrossing the United States. Having been recognized by famed producer Don Was, working with Lady Gaga producer and discover Wendy Starland, and participating in several competitions the band is ready for the rest of the world to know they exist.
