The Blood Stained Blonde Tour concludes this Fall with select headline shows across the US in some very special cities. The support acts curated by Cain feature artists whom she admires and is excited to share the stage with. These will be the final shows of the Preacher’s Daughter era.
The jaded daughter of a dead preacher-man caught in an exodus, Ethel Cain winds her way through a dizzying attempt at escape from her suffocating upbringing only to find herself crushed within its jaws in the end. Hayden Anhedönia, the woman behind the curtain, serves as the architect for the visceral and haunting world of Ethel Cain.
After singlehandedly writing, producing and mixing her EP Inbred from the basement of a church in Indiana, Inbred was released in 2021 to critical acclaim, receiving overwhelming support from Pitchfork, Paper Mag, TheFADER, Billboard, NYLON, Vice, The Line Of Best Fit, Vanity Fair France, Zane Lowe, Spotify, Youtube, Soundcloud, and Tidal.
After over four years of meticulously constructing her debut album and the graphic visual world that accompanies it, Preacher’s Daughter, was released in May 2022 catching fire with her growing fanbase of loyal daughters and continuing to catch the eyes of The New York Times, Vogue, NPR, W Magazine, V Magazine, Givenchy, and Calvin Klein. Cain then embarked on her first ever headline tour playing sold out shows across the US, Canada and Europe, walking in New York & Paris Fashion week, and closing out the year opening for Florence + the Machine in Denver, which led to the wide release of their live duet performance of “Morning Elvis.”
Cain will release new music later this year, and continues to tour around the world including performances at Coachella, Outside Lands, Reading & Leeds, Roskilde, Rock en Seine, supporting Caroline Polachek and boygenius at select dates across their summer tours, among many other festivals and headline shows in the US, Australia, and Europe.

Madeline Johnston is a self taught multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer, currently based in Southern New Mexico by way of Denver, Colorado, where she spent the last decade + developing her sound and focusing on her artistic community. Midwife began while Madeline was a resident of the beloved DIY space Rhinoceropolis in 2014. She has released three albums with The Flenser, most recently, Luminol (2021), which received National and International acclaim. On stage, Johnston is known for her sparse, emotionally charged experimental pop music that can silence a room. On record, she produces intricate and lush sonic environments in her own little corner of the heavy music scene. She describes her sound as “Heaven Metal,” AKA emotional music about devastation: catharsis. Johnston writes primarily about grief, and the many faces it can inhabit.
